  • Regardless of whether you own a major or little gun, primers are an absolute necessity. Reloading gun s is about accuracy and that is the thing that primers are for!
  • Its fundamental capacity is to touch off the charge powder inside the gun’s cartridge. Without primers, the slugs will be stuck in the barrel.
  • The primers has touchy parts inside the metal cap yet just a bit. When the shooting pin of the little gun hits the preliminary cap, the preparing synthetic is squashed inside the metal iron block and cap. Accordingly, the primers communicates hot gas into the glimmer opening and cartridge case. This makes the temperatures and pressing factor inside it increment, which then, at that point touches off the force powder.
  • These priming parts are normally barium nitrate, antimony sulfide, and lead styphnate. These synthetic substances cooperate to deliver warmth and gas.
  • Despite brands, all primers will unquestionably upgrade your shooting and reloading experience.

  1. Guns Valley

I loaded several hundred rounds for prairie dog hunting. They worked excellent. No misfires at all.. Very pleased…….

    small groups with varget powder

  3. wayne jack

I have loaded a little over 3000 .223 and have never had any of these primers fail yet. Using a few different platforms, both semi and bolt I have had nothing but great results. Recently I purchased more of these at a local store to avoid the hazmat and shipping costs. The product itself is fantastic, but I can buy 1000 more for the same cost as the hazmat fee if I shop locally. No fault to Midway, you have NEVER let me down and I will be a loyal customer for life and just yesterday received another perfect order from you.

  4. Guns Valley

I use the primers in my .223 match rounds. The Winchester primers offer consistent ignition. Since ordering and using these primers, I have won 3 shooting matches.

  5. Guns Valley

Through thousands of rounds of pistol reloading, I have always used Winchester primers, so I naturally went with these primers when I started reloading .223. So far, after about 250 rounds, they were working fine when last time out I had two pierced primer blow-throughs. It was much unexpected because I was still less than the max load with Varget powder. My Savage 12VLP does make a solid dimple in the primers. I will be cautious and monitor these primers carefully from now on. Otherwise, typical excellent Winchester performance..

  6. Guns Valley

Ever since these went from silver to gold in color, they seem to be softer cups. Can’t run them in the grendel because even starting loads at 44k psi are completely flattened whereas my Rem 71/2 and CCI and feds do not.

  7. Guns Valley

I really like this primer in AR-15’s. Some times with floating firing pins you can get light primer hits. I feel like the cup in the Winchester is a little softer so problem is reduced. I feel the primer burn is very consistent and helps to get tight groups.

  8. Guns Valley

use the WSR primers for my ar15. Have had problems at all. Highly recommend them.

  9. Guns Valley

    It’s a primer.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

  10. Guns Valley

I use these for .223 and 300 Black Out. Winchester primers are all I use.

  11. Guns Valley

I love Winchester primers. I became a convert using their pistol primers in competition loads where I was getting FTFs when using other brand primers. Now I use them in my long range 223 loads as well and never a problem. combine that with Guns Valley USA’s great service and it’s a win-win!

  12. Guns Valley

The Winchester primers are a good product I have used them four-years
    yes I’d buy them again

  13. Guns Valley

    No problems what so ever.

  14. Guns Valley

I have used these primers for years with excellent results never a miss fire.

  15. Guns Valley

Have had great luck and no misfires. Firing pins in AR platforms function perfect every time.

  16. Guns Valley

    Whinchester quality, bang every time!

  17. Guns Valley

I use them to reload 556 rounds never had a problem with them been using them 30 plus years. When the offered me no hazmat fee plus a good price i pulled out my card. I also bought 5000 large pistol on the same order.

  18. Guns Valley

Bought these primers for my very first handloads.

  19. Guns Valley

Great fit and function every time the trigger is pulled. I use both pistol and rifle in the brand with unmatched quality.

  20. Guns Valley

The primers work fine I use them on 223 & 300 BLk cartridges

  21. Guns Valley

The primers work fine I use them on 223 & 300 BLk cartridges just bought from Guns Valley

  22. Guns Valley

Use many different Winchester primers and am never disappointed. Pistol rifle shotgun. Really can’t compare to anything else because I use them almost exclusivlely. They install nicely and go boom every time I squeeze the trigger

  23. Guns Valley

    Great product quality and consistency

  24. Guns Valley

As a professional reloader I have been doing it for over 30 years, I can tell you these primers are top shelf! They are uniform and seat well, when using a quality reloading press feeling the primmer seating is a must and these are consistent! There are however differences in the color of the primers does not effect there performance.

  25. Guns Valley

Winchester are the only primer I use for reloading, very good primer

  26. Guns Valley

consistent, i was having occasional missfires w/ another brand, so far sub m.o.a. groups no issues or problems.

  27. Guns Valley

After thousands of rounds developed for 223 / 5.56, I have had no issues with Winchester small rifle primers. Cups are not to soft, perhaps people are forgetting to swage their cup pockets before priming?

  28. Guns Valley

What can I say, Winchester primers work for me. I use them in numerous loads and have never had a failure. I have been reloading for 45 years and never had a problem with their primers.

  29. Guns Valley

Bought 5000, so far used a 1000 with out issue. 223, new Winchester brass.

Buying in volume is good economy, amortizing the HazMat fees over more product. These have had no issues in my Lee presses and work with no exceptions (no jams reloading, no misfires and no failures to file). I use the silver CCI for handgun and gold Winchester for rifle so I can easily tell the difference.
